OTD 705: Patient Care Skills

This course provides training in a variety of patient care skills relevant to healthcare and the field of occupational therapy. Skills include assessment of vital signs, range-of-motion measurements, manual muscle testing, balance screening, bed mobility, basic transfers, functional mobility, and wheelchair safety. Students will complete training in patient and clinic safety, confidentiality in the healthcare environment, and universal precautions.
