OTD 704: Clinical Anatomy & Kinesiology

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in human gross anatomy and kinesiology, emphasizing the structure, function, and movement of the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary systems across the lifespan. Additional body systems are introduced as they relate to the functional roles of these primary systems. Using a regional approach, students examine the anatomy of the upper and lower extremities, trunk, and head,exploring how movement occurs at the joint level and how anatomical structure supports functional performance. By the end of the course, students will have a foundational understanding of how body structure determines function, preparing them for clinical application and the treatment of structural dysfunction in occupational therapy practice.
